RMAQ Remembrance Day 2015
The Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Queensland Maritime Museum 08 Nov 2015, was well attended by the Royal Marine Association Queensland, my Wife and I, and An Anglican RAN Padre, as well as a young 12 year old who played the bugle well. The young lad couldn’t stay as he had another 3 function to perform at, as explained by his father; a busy day for the young man, and he will be in great demand, if he sticks with it, as there are few with this skill these days. Also present was a representative of the Parent unit of the Marines Association, Ron Bell, Chairman of the UK RMA. He expressed that he was fortunate in that his daughter lived in South East Queensland as it allowed him to combine visiting his daughter with representing the Royal Marine Association on a relatively frequent basis Here in Queensland. The Rain held off for the ceremony which was a blessing and the ceremony was carried out with aplomb.
